Great for all your DIY's, such as soap making, bath bombs, body scrubs, and oatmeal baths. Colloidal Oatmeal makes a soothing addition to your favorite recipes. This is a finely ground oatmeal, that will add a light exfoliation to your products.
Benefits of Colloidal Oatmeal
Colloidal oatmeal has been used for centuries to soothe dry, itchy skin. Its content of unique antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties boosts skin hydration and helps lock in moisture.
Our Colloidal oatmeal is homemade from 100% non-GMO(but not certified) and all-natural whole oats. We freshly grind each batch to a fine consistency to ensure we are providing the best quality. If you need it to be finer for your project, feel free to sift again with a finer strainer.
Instructions for Soapmaking: Use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per pound of oil (may use more or less to adjust exfoliation). Add to your oils and blend to disperse thoroughly before adding your lye solution. (FREE MEASURING SCOOP INCLUDED)

Not tested for gluten-content (may contain gluten residues).
Important Note: Colloidal oatmeal is registered as an OTC skin protectant drug with the FDA (Category I, the minimum concentration of 0.007% and 0.003% when in combination with mineral oil). This means that if you want to sell a finished product containing colloidal oatmeal and you make a skin protectant claim (incl. rashes, eczema, poison ivy, oak or sumac, insect bites), colloidal oatmeal must then be listed under 'Active Ingredients' on the label. Also, your facility and your product must be registered with the FDA and you must operate under cGMP guidelines. However, if no skin protectant drug claims are made on the label, colloidal oatmeal is not considered an OTC drug and no registration is needed.
